Lipid Guideline: What’s the Difference Between Old and New?
The results of recent large-scale clinical studies and the development of new medications and diagnostic tools are changing the guidelines for dyslipidemia. Therefore, the lipid guidelines have undergone the significant change during recent years. In this session, our speakers will discuss hot issues that have arisen in recently published guidelines, compared to the old ones. Our first speaker, Prof. Alberico L. Catapano from University of Milan, Italy, will show the overview of the recent changes in the guidelines and differences between guidlines. Our second speaker, Prof. Kausik Ray from Imperial College London, UK, will discuss the changes of ESC-EAS guidelines. Our third speaker, Prof. Hidenori Arai from National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology, Japan, will present the recent changes of guidelines focusing on Japan guidelines. Our last speaker, Prof. In-kyung Jeong from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, will talk about the recent changes in Korean guidelines and some future perspectives.
